We have been actively engaged in changing the face and make up of the EAES website. It has taken some time and a great deal of effort, but, the new baby face is here.

The functionality is very modern and user-friendly. Navigation has been improved. Several valuable links with sources of information and the most popular Web sites are posted. We are also making inroads to increase the contents, especially on educational issues.

The floodlights: soon you will be able to consult on line the first chapters of the EAES Manual, a peer-reviewed cutting-edge guide for endoscopic techniques, as practiced by European experts in the field and open to all. Between the Manual and other sources of information the new EAES site will be culling the latest evidence based data on laparoscopic and endoscopic interventional techniques almost as soon as they are born.

The curriculum of the LSS (Laparoscopic Surgical Skills) program will also soon be available. Peer-reviewed videos on the most commonly practiced surgical techniques as well as expert opinions on various burning issues in our field of endoscopic and laparoscopic surgery will be online, with the possibility of direct interaction with the experts.

Administrative and daily business issues are already online. You will continue to find all the courses offered by or sponsored by EAES. Many more are under consideration and soon will be online.

Industry will have privileged connections, not only making available information about their products, but also how to find out about the practical aspects and how to obtain live demonstrations.
